PCS Debating Team triumphed today in a hotly-contested battle of words and wits with Castlerea CS in the first round of the ACCS All-Ireland Debating Competition hosted by Glenamaddy CS. PCS team is comprised of 5th Years Keelin Hassett McCourtney, Konstantin Foutiadis Sadhbh Mechan, Ava Young, Bobby Conboy, Saoirse Quinton and Mary Ellen Coen. Warm thanks to James Duignan, Principal and host, Adrian Jackson of Carrick-on-Shannon CS for organising and adjudicating, Mr Plews and Ms Corrigan for working with and accompanying the team. Thanks also to Ms. Byrne and Ms. Skelly for their work in preparation for this event. Well-earned victory – Maith thú to the whole team!
