Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),
Please find attached the Week 10 Assessment Timetables for your son/daughter.
We kindly ask that you ensure your child has recorded the dates and times of their assessments in the corresponding dated section of their school diary. Study periods have been included in the timetable for their benefit, and students are expected to make full use of this time for preparation and revision.
As outlined in our Assessment Policy, students are not permitted to sign out early or sign in late during the week of assessments. It causes unnecessary disruption to others and is not in keeping with the expectations of the school. If it becomes evident that study periods are not being used productively, future timetables may be condensed to reflect this.
These assessments play an important role in helping students develop good habits and routines that will support them in future state examinations. Your cooperation and understanding in reinforcing this message at home is greatly appreciated.
For 1st Year Parents/Guardians:
Please note that 1st Year students will only sit formal timetabled assessments in their core subjects during the Week 10 assessments. However, they will also be assessed in their taster subjects through in-class assessments, which will take place after the midterm break, at their class-teacher’s discretion, up to and including the date November 14th. These results will be included in the whole-school report being sent home on November 17th.
Thank you for your continued support.
Warm regards,
Fiona Kelly (Exam Secretary)
