PCS Senior Soccer panel were in unbelievable form today, dominating the match against Colaiste Eachreidh in the first half, 1-0 up at the break. With substitutions and tired legs Colaiste Eachreidh cam back with a well-taken goal in the 65th minute, but then Portumna turned on the pressure and hounded the flagging opposition to the whistle. It ended 1-1, but both sides were eager to settle it, so it went to penalties. Adam Murphy saved two of Eachreidh’s, Fiachra Brown put us ahead, the the keeper Murphy took our last penalty to win 2-0 on on penalties. The lads couldn’t have been happier if they’d won the All-Ireland. Brilliant gentlemanly match, proud of them all. Mr Plews
