Nature Hero Awards Success
We are delighted to share the fantastic news that Portumna Community School has been announced as the Overall Winner of the 2026 Nature Hero Awards, receiving a prize of €5,000.
Representatives from Glenveagh and the Nature Hero Awards Selection Committee will visit the school to present the award to the students and staff involved.
Congratulations to all our students and staff on this outstanding achievement.

Connacht Tag Rugby Blitz
PCS will host this primary schools Connacht Tag Rugby Blitz. We wish all participants every success.

Staff involved with TY and LCA programmes will meet to review student progress and upcoming activities.
TY Educational Trip
Thirty Transition Year students will visit the National Museum of Ireland as part of their educational programme.
Students will depart at 8.30 a.m. and return at approximately 5.30 p.m.
