We marked National Water Safety Awareness Week by highlighting the importance of respecting and understanding our local waterways. We are fortunate to have the Shannon Waterway on our doorstep but need to educate our students about the dangers associated with water.
As part of the initiative, the PE Department brought some 1st, 2nd and 3rd Year students to the local swimming area. We examined safety signage, learned about potential risks and learned how to properly use a ringbuoy.
