Lisbon Trip – Day 2 Update
It was a slower start this morning, with a few sleepy heads and some very quiet breakfast tables—clearly the excitement of Day 1 had caught up with them! But after some cereal and motivational croissants, the group rallied and were on the road to Sintra.
Due to traffic restrictions, the coach couldn’t drop them at the top, so a 50-minute uphill walk kicked off the day. Despite a few dramatic groans, everyone made it up to the magical Pena Palace, where the views (and snack breaks) made it all worthwhile.
After some well-earned lunch, the group headed to Cabo da Roca, the most westerly point in mainland Europe. The scenery was stunning, the wind did its best to restyle everyone’s hair, and the group soaked up the fresh air.
Next stop was a trip high above the city on the Telecabine Lisboa—with amazing views and only a few don’t look down! moments.
They wrapped up a big day with dinner at Pizza Hut, where energy returned just in time for unlimited garlic bread.
Everyone is now back at the accommodation, recharging for tomorrow’s beach day. Surf’s up for Day 3!
