Today, our school held a Junior and Senior assembly for students. We welcomed Community Garda Michelle Sands and Sergeant Leo Kiernan, along with our Principal, Deputy Principal, Year Heads, staff, and students.
The assembly focused on important topics affecting young people today, including:
• Bullying and Online Bullying
• Staying Safe Online when using various social media apps such as Snapchat, instagram and TikTok and X.
• Understanding online risks and how to protect yourself
• Advice and Supports Available for students
The session concluded with a discussion on Coco’s Law, highlighting the serious consequences of posting harmful content online.
We thank our guests today and all involved for their time and commitment to promoting safety and wellbeing in our school community. Special mention to Ms. Denise O’Callaghan Head of CSPE & Wellbeing who organised today’s informative whole school event.
