Huge congratulations !

January 9, 2026

Congratulations to our fantastic students Eve Kenny, Aisling Treacy, and Allie Callinan on coming 1st place in the Intermediate category (Social & Behavioural Science) at the Stripe Young Scientist & Technology Expo Ireland tonight.

Their winning project, Does the Autism Label Change How We See Our Classmates?, explored an important and timely topic and included the creation of their website www.tuiscintniosfearr.com.

A special well done to their incredible teacher, Ms. Thea Curtin, for her outstanding support and guidance throughout the project. Thank you also to Ms. Lawlor for her continued support of Ms. Curtin and the team over the past number of days.

We would also like to sincerely thank all students, staff, and parents involved in this research project, with special mention to parents and guardians of the girls and their fellow students and friends for their ongoing encouragement and support.

Our thanks also go to Lollipopz, Portumna, for their generous sponsorship.

Finally, we acknowledge and thank the Science Department and An Cuan Department at PCS for their continued support and encouragement.

We look forward to welcoming the girls home to PCS next week, where they will be celebrated at a whole-school assembly.

An outstanding achievement—well done to everyone involved!
