Green Schools Clean Air Week

November 18, 2025

Our TY Green Schools Committee are very busy this term working on the Travel Theme.
Our Green School students completed a Walkability Audit with our travel advisor Laura Tannin last week. We are now compiling a report to submit to our local council on how to make it safer for students to walk to school.
Our school was selected to take part in the RSA Travel Survey & this was completed under the guidance of Laura Tannin.
This week is Clean Air Week and as part of that we are running a No Idling Campaign. We are asking parents to switch off their engines outside the school while dropping off students. This is to reduce emissions and creat a healthy environment around our school. Our survey showed that 100% of cars are left running at drop off and collection time. We are asking all parents to turn off their cars and improve the quality of the air we breath.
Our TY students are teaching all 1st year classes this week on reducing emissions.
Together we can make a difference!!!
