Coding workshop for girls    

Our transition year girls received their Certificates after completing a 3 day coding workshop called Codeplus. Many thanks to facilitator Sally McHugh @Fordofthekings. The workshop, funded by Science Foundation Ireland and delivered by University of Galway aims to promote and encourage more girls to consider computer science on their CAO for third level and future career choices. Presently only 18% of graduates in this area are women. The girls explored different coding platforms namely Scratch, Python, AI Platform sharing, Robotics and Microbits. @CodeplusIRL @UniOfGalway @scienceirel
