Day 3 Update – Waves, Wetsuits & Window Shopping
2nd years kicked off the day bright and early with a trip to Carcavelos Beach for a bodyboarding session. The students were naturals—some even staying upright for more than three seconds! Mr Hanney and Mr Fallon also threw themselves into the waves (quite literally). Their technique was… enthusiastic. Let’s just say the Atlantic didn’t know what hit it—though neither did Mr Fallon when his board went one way and he went the other.
After a well-earned lunch and a bit of sun (and sand in absolutely everything), the group enjoyed some free time at the beach before heading back into Lisbon.
The evening wrapped up with a visit to the Amoreiras Shopping Centre, where students flexed their budgeting skills on souvenirs, snacks, and possibly some questionable fashion choices. No surfboards were purchased—though we can’t speak for Mr Hanney.
Everyone’s now back at the accommodation, sandy, slightly sun-kissed, and ready for another action-packed day tomorrow.
