Winners of the PCS/Creative Schools Creative Writing Competition 2024 were announced on Friday. Entrants wrote about how change had impacted their lives for better or worse. In the picture (L-R), English Co-ordinator Ms. Byrne, U18 competition winner Keelin Hassett McCourtney (TY), U16 runner up Peter Lowry (1st Year), U16 winner Emily Visser (1st Year), then English/History teacher Mr Plews. First place in the adult/community competition went to Adrian Fahy, with David Tedesco coming in as runner-up. Each receives an Easons’ voucher and winners will have their piece recorded for broadcast on Loughrea Community Radio. M
