Dear Parent(S)/ Guardian (S),
The Guidance/ Testing Department of PCS will be administrating the CAT 4 Level G Cognitive Ability Tests on Wednesday,6th November 2024to all 3rd Year students.The results from these aptitude tests will help your child to make an informed choice around Programme Choice/ Subject Choice for Senior Cycle.
All 3rd Years must attend. The CAT 4 Level G test will be taken online in schooland the testing requires each student to bring in earphones.Failure to bring in earphonesmay result in your child not being able to take part in the aptitude test. The schedule for the day will be as follows
3A & 3B:9am- 11am Rooms J/ D
3C & 3D: 11.20- 1.20pm Rooms J/D
The aptitude test will cover the following aptitudes
Verbal Reasoning (reasoning with words)
Quantitative Reasoning (reasoning with numbers)
Non-Verbal Reasoning (reasoning with shapes and designs)
Spatial Reasoning (thinking with and mentally manipulating precise shapes)
